To pass the SSC (Class 10) Maharashtra Board Exam 2026, students must meet specific minimum marks criteria set by MSBSHSE in each subject and overall.
Minimum Passing Marks Criteria
- Theory Papers: Minimum 35% (typically 21 out of 60, or proportional to total theory marks) in each subject
- Internal Assessment/Practicals: Minimum 35% in each component
- Overall: Students must pass in all subjects individually — there is no compensatory/grace averaging across subjects beyond the board’s standard grace mark policy
Grace Marks Policy
MSBSHSE may award a limited number of grace marks (as per board rules) to help borderline students pass, particularly in one or two subjects where the student is very close to the passing threshold. This is applied automatically by the board during result preparation — students don’t need to apply separately.
If You Don’t Clear the Passing Marks
Students who fail in one or more subjects can appear for the SSC Supplementary Exam 2026, usually held a few months after the main result.
Note: Always verify exact passing percentage figures against the official MSBSHSE notification, as marking schemes can be revised by the board.
