If you are not satisfied with your marks, the board provides official ways to review them. It helps to understand the difference between the three options before you apply.

The three options explained

1. Photocopy of the answer book

You can apply for a scanned photocopy of your assessed answer book. This lets you see exactly how each question was marked — a sensible first step before deciding anything else.

2. Verification of marks

Verification checks that all answers were marked and totalled correctly. It does not re-assess the quality of your answers; it looks for counting or totalling errors.

3. Revaluation / re-assessment

After reviewing the photocopy, you may apply for re-assessment of specific answers by a subject expert, as permitted by the board’s rules for that year.

How to apply

  1. Watch for the official notice; the application window opens for a short period after the result.
  2. Apply online through the official board website within the deadline.
  3. Pay the prescribed per-subject fee online and keep the payment receipt.
  4. Note the timeline for results of verification / revaluation.

Important tips

  • Deadlines are strict and usually only a few days long — apply early.
  • Exact fees and steps are set by the board each year; confirm them on the official site.
  • Keep copies of every application and receipt.
